Alumni Awards Recipients Named
The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry's Alumni Board of Directors is pleased to announce selection of the following individuals as this year's Alumni of the Year Awards Recipients: Alumnus of the Year, Dr. John DiBiaggio; Allied Health Alumnus of the Year, Kathi Shepherd, RDH and Honorary Alumnus of the Year; Dr. Pamela Herrera. Awards will be presented at the Alumni Luncheon during Alumni Day on Friday, April 28 at the Ritz-Carlton, Dearborn.
The School of Dentistry's Institute for Advanced Continuing Education in conjunction with Marquette University, the University of Nebraska and New Jersey Dental School, will be hosting a 7-Night CDE Alaskan Cruise August 1-26, 2006 aboard the MS Oosterdam. 2006 Give Kids A Smile Day A Success
On February 4, 2006 the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry again opened its doors to area children in need of dental care. The event, held in collaboration with Detroit, Macomb and Oakland Dental Societies, provided care for over one hundred children. UDM Faculty and Students to Represent at ADEA/AADR
The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry is proud of the large contingent of faculty and students participating at the 2006 ADEA/AADR Joint Annual Session and Exhibition. This year's event, entitled "Education and Research Together" will be held in Orlando Florida, March 7-12, 2006. A full listing of the specific programs that faculty and students will be participating in is available on line.
Call for Candidates
Elections for the Alumni Board of Directors will be held during the Alumni Luncheon on April 28, 2006. Individuals who are interesting in running should submit a letter of intent along with a curriculum vitae and one paragraph bio sketch to Ann Fisher, Director of Alumni Relations by no later than Monday, April 3, 2006 to be included on this year's ballot.
