Pros and Cons of Diagnosis, Examination, Digital Radiographic Interpretation, and Treatment Planning for the Pediatric Patient

Many dental offices already have, or will soon convert to, digital radiography. Learning about the different systems and re-learning how to diagnose dental disease utilizing the available technology may prove to be a challenge for dental professionals. This program will provide a basic review of digital radiographic technology. An emphasis will be placed on the challenges of diagnosis using digital radiographs and the various digital enhancements. This presentation will include multiple cases in primary and permanent dentitions, and compare digital radiographic images to clinical photographs. Different treatment planning for the pediatric patient and various pediatric cases will also be presented and discussed.
At the completion of the course participants will be able to:
- Gain basic understanding of digital radiographic systems
- Understand the advantages/disadvantages of different systems
- Obtain improved understanding of diagnosis using digital radiography
- Understand and review pediatric treatment planning using different approaches or modalities

Refund and Cancellation Policy
Unless otherwise posted, a full refund less $25 will be granted if notification of cancellation is received by the Institute for Advanced Continuing Dental Education office two weeks (14 or more days) prior to the start of the course. If a cancellation is received less than two weeks (13 or less days) prior to the start of a lecture only course, a full refund less $100 will be granted. If a cancellation is received less than two weeks (13 or less days) prior to the start of a hands-on course, no refund will be granted. Refunds cannot be given for same any day cancellations or no-shows.
