Risk Management – Thinking 10 Years Later

Description:
We have seen the evolution of complete dentures relying on the intimate fit of the denture to the soft tissues of the mouth to a denture that is completely retained by implants. This presentation will discuss current and potential future problems that may arise, as we restore the completely edentulous mouth with implant prostheses.

Educational Objectives:
At the conclusion of the course participants will be able to:
1. To present current complications with our implant prostheses.
2. To present potential complications with our implant prostheses.
3. To look to the future as a guide to the implant restoration of today.

2-4pm Session
American Board of Prosthodontics (ABP) – Is It Worth Pursuing?

Description:
The mission of the American Board of Prosthodontics is to certify individuals who have demonstrated special knowledge and skills in prosthodontics. This presentation will explain in detail; the process of becoming a Diplomate, tips on being successful taking the exam, and will show actual Board cases.

Educational Objectives:
At the conclusion of the course participants will be able to:
1. To understand the Board certification process.
2. To recognize the importance of challenging the ABP.
3. To recognize the importance of being a Diplomate of the ABP.
