Course Overview

This is a basic, beginner’s course in clinical hypnosis for dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants. Participants will explore their own hypnotic ability and their ability to facilitate hypnosis with others. Use of hypnotic techniques for effective management of pain and comfort will be emphasized.

Course Objectives

At the completion of the course participants will be able to:

  • Understand the basic introduction to hypnosis.
  • Become motivated to participate in additional training in hypnosis so that they can become competent and confident in the modality.
  • Feel competent and confident enough to begin to experiment with basic hypnotic techniques in their dental practice, especially as it pertains to pain management and comfort.
