Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Presenters

Mark T. Murphy, DDS, FAGD,

Overview

Applying occlusal principals in everyday dentistry has clinical and behavioral challenges.  This course will focus on developing skills that can be used right away in planning and restoring dentitions for your patients.  We will walk through each phase of the occlusal evaluation and rehabilitation, “breaking down” the process into words your patients will understand.  This course will also review examination, differential diagnosis, splint therapy, treatment planning and equilibration of occlusal surfaces.  The physics, bio-mechanical, physiological and psychological dimension of occlusion and TMD will be discussed.

Course Objectives

At the completion of the course participants will be able to:

  • Perform risk assessments to determine when to treat and when to refer
  • Easily communicate treatment options and the rehabilitation process with your patients
  • Utilize skills learned to equilibrate occlusal surfaces
