Carlos A. Ramirez, MD, DDS, is currently a Fellow in Microvascular Reconstruction/Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville. Upon completion, he will be returning to the Detroit area as a staff physician at St. John Providence Health System and to fill the position of Assistant Program Director to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program. Dr. Ramirez completed his six year Oral and Maxillofacial training at St. John Providence Health System in June 2012. Dr. Ramirez graduated medical school in 2010 from Wayne State University and Dental School in 2005 from the University of Detroit Mercy. Upon completion of Dental School he completed a one year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical center. His practice is limited to Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction. Dr. Ramirez was born in Arequipa, Peru, then moved to Toronto Canada and completed undergraduate training at the University of Toronto-St. Michael’s College. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American College of Oral Maxillofacal Surgeons.
