Ms. Kuxhaus teaches periodontal instrumentation, clinical periodontal data collection, and Axium training for periodontal data collection, to dental students. She also teaches Introduction to Teaching Predoctoral Periodontology in the graduate periodontal residency program. She is involved in teaching periodontal instrumentation and patient/operator positioning to practicing general dentist and dental hygienist in a series of continuing education courses. Additional responsibilities include coordination of various aspects for the Graduate Periodontal Residency Program. She has received several teaching awards. Ms. Kuxhaus holds a Certificate and B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Detroit and a MA in Curriculum Design and Instruction from the University of Detroit Mercy. She joined the university in 2002.
