Dr. Gurun teaches clinical restorative dentistry, removable and fixed prosthodontics. He is also involved in teaching didactic and hands-on pre-doctoral implant dentistry courses and series of continuing education courses. He earned his DMD and prosthodontic training at the University of Istanbul, completed a fellowship program in prosthodontics at the University of Florida and holds a DDS degree from University of Detroit Mercy. His latest publication is related to optical scanner-based implant treatment planning. His area of special interests, aside from his administrative role, is to integrate curriculum formats and latest technologies in restorative dentistry curriculum. He has been also active in numerous UDM committees, professional associations and maintaining a faculty practice. Dr. Gurun joined the University in 2001.
