DH Degree Completion

Program Highlights

  • The degree completion program caters to licensed Dental Hygienists who have graduated from an accredited dental hygiene program.
  • 126 semester credit hours (minimum) are needed to complete a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene
    • LAST 30 credits must be at UDM
  • On Campus program (limited on-line classes available)
  • Enroll during any semester;  Full or Part Time
  • Unlimited time commitment to complete
  • Individualized curriculum based on past education
    • Directed Studies available in Teaching Preparation, Research, Community Health, and others
  • Academic Grants given based on incoming GPA
    • To qualify, a minimum of 12 semester hours per semester is needed
  • Required courses taken through the College of Liberal Arts and Education, and the School of Dentistry
  • A Bachelor of Science degree can increase employment opportunities - beyond an entry level position - in alternative practice settings, such as:
