Advising

All prospective students are required to set up an advising session as soon as possible once declaring interest in the UDMercy Professional Dental Hygiene Program.

Transfer students with the intent of applying to the Professional phase of the Dental Hygiene Program should also be advised by the Dental Hygiene Admissions’ Director as soon as possible to facilitate the transfer of courses to UDMercy and to assure fulfillment of pre-requisite courses.

Advising can be accomplished by calling 313-494-6625 or emailing dentalhygiene@udmercy.edu to make an advising appointment.

Other topics discussed during the advising appointment will include the following: students acting as partners, expenses and scholarship opportunities, applicant’s knowledge of the DH profession, immunizations and testing related to infectious diseases, and potential DH license delay/denial due to felony convictions.
