Research Resources

The Department chairperson is a faculty member's first contact for research interest. The Department chairperson will have an overview of the active research in the department and School as well as know the specific research interests of various faculty present in the different departments. It is important for the Department chairperson to know each faculty members research interests and be part of the planning and allocation of resources to any research plan. Furthermore, the Department chairperson can investigate and help form collaborative research efforts among the various departments. In addition, the Director of Research should also be involved in discussions with the faculty person and department chairperson.
