American Student Dental Association (ASDA)
The American Student Dental Association or ASDA is a national student-run organization that protects and advances the rights, interests and welfare of dental students. It introduces students to lifelong involvement in organized dentistry and provides services, information, education, representation, and advocacy. UDM ASDA strives to convey the power and importance of organized dentistry through our on campus presence, outreach, and advocacy.
Our chapter has monthly meetings (dates can be found on the academic calendar) where you can learn about legislative issues affecting dentistry and upcoming events. Some of our events include our free dental clinic with St. Vincent de Paul, ping pong tournaments, mouth guard clinics, Pro-Am golf tournament, vendor fair, The Caries Free Press, and more.

- To provide the students a venue through which their concerns about dentistry as a profession can be voiced.
- To provide lunch and learns that the students will be interested in and will want to attend.
- To provide after school activities for fun and a sense of belonging to something more.
Delegates attended the ASDA Annual Session and will attend the QUAD regional meeting in January. For the upcoming year, we are planning lunch and learns, fundraisers, social and philanthropy events, bi-monthly newsletter publications, benefits presentations, etc.
Dues are automatically billed through the student life fee.
