Online Registration

Detroit Mercy Dental CE courses are continuously added to our convenient registration site. Please visit the individual course webpage and click the "Register Now” button, then follow the instructions to complete your registration.

When registering, please use your login ID and password associated with your Detroit Mercy Dental CE account. If you are a new user, you must create an account with a unique email address and password. This allows the system to identify you when accessing your account. If you wish to register more than one person, please obtain their individual email address and other personally identifiable information. Please do not create multiple accounts as your CE transcripts and credit letters can be accessed online and are associated with the unique login ID.

You can register for multiple courses at once using the cart feature.

    Registration Policy

    LIVE Webinar
    For your convenience, you may register to attend LIVE webinar courses up to one hour prior to the start of the course at no additional charge. A non-refundable fee of $20 dollars per person, per course will be assessed to registrations received within an hour of the course start time.

    In-person
    You may register for in-person CE courses until 5 p.m. one week prior to the start of the course at no additional charge. A non-refundable fee of $20 dollars per person, per course will be assessed to any registrations received after 5 p.m. seven days prior to a course, including same-day or walk-in registrations.

    In-person and LIVE Detroit Mercy webinar course sign-in opens 30 minutes prior to the start of the program.

    Online/Available Anytime
    Online, asynchronous courses are available for immediate access and up to one year after registration is received.

    Course Credit

    • The Institute for Advanced Continuing Dental Education is both an ADA CERP and AGD PACE provider.
    • Both in-person and LIVE webinar courses provide live CE credit hours.
    • Online asynchronous (available anytime) courses offer online credit and require participants to pass a multiple-choice test.
    • To receive your continuing education credits, you must sign in or login prior to the start of the course and be present during the entire course.
    • Credit letters will be emailed to individuals after the course is complete and the electronic course evaluation is returned.
    • Certified dental assistants should contact the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) regarding their continuing education credit guidelines and course requirements.

    Discounts

    Alumni Discount*
    Detroit Mercy Dental alumni receive a 10% discount on most courses. The discount will automatically be applied to the tuition when you indicate you are an alumnus when registering.

    We are unable to guarantee the ability to make a correction to the tuition rate once you have registered for a course. Should an error have been made while registering for a course, please notify our office at your earliest convenience. We will make every effort to correct the problem or to apply a credit toward a future course.

    LIVE Webinar*
    Receive a 50% discount off every third LIVE Detroit Mercy Webinar course. To receive your discount credit, please send an email listing the course titles of your three qualifying courses to: dentalce@udmercy.edu.The discount applies to the course with the lowest tuition and can be combined with the alumni discount.

    *ACDE Webinar Series courses are excluded from all discounts.

    Refund & Cancellation Policy

    LIVE Webinar
    Unless otherwise posted, a full refund less $25 will be granted if notification of cancellation is received by the Institute for Advanced Continuing Dental Education office 24 hours prior to the start of the course. Refunds will not be provided for no-shows or cancellations received within 24 hours of the course.

    In-person
    Unless otherwise posted, a full refund less $25 will be granted if notification of cancellation is received by the Institute for Advanced Continuing Dental Education office one week (7 or more days) prior to the start of the course.

    If a cancellation is received less than one week (6 days or less) prior to the start of a hands-on course, no refund will be granted. Refunds will not be provided for same-day cancellations or no-shows

    Online/Available Anytime
    A full refund will be granted for asynchronous courses if the cancellation is received prior to beginning the course. Once the course has been started, no refund will be given.

    Check Policy

    If you choose to pay for a continuing education course by check, it must be received by Detroit Mercy within ten (10) days of registration. If the check is not received within ten (10) days of registration, we will assume that you are no longer interested in the course and will remove you from the course roster, forfeiting your held seat. If you register less than ten (10) days prior to the start of a course, payment will be accepted up to the course start time. If additional time is required, please contact 313-494-6626 prior to registering to make a payment arrangement.

The University of Detroit Mercy is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing dental education programs of this program provider are accepted by AGD for Fellowship, Mastership and membership maintenance credit. Approval does not imply acceptance by a state or provincial board of dentistry or AGD endorsement. The current term of approval extends from April 1, 2019 to May 31, 2025. Provider ID #214176.
